Time is for preparations : General Christophe Motte, in charge of the air meetings, met in early March the land authorities of the region which are implied in the working out of this major event and he formally launched the drawing up of the gathering.
The appointed is arranged on Sunday, 2nd july from 10 am to 6.30 pm in the air base 103 "Commandant René Mouchotte" ! All day long, make way for sensational experiences and delight for the eyes. On the menu : flight presentations, static displays, first flights and paratroopers' jumps. Many aircrafts will be there including the prestigious Patrouille de France.
The whole staff of the air base is mobilized for an event which promises to be ambitious since thousands of people are expected.

Let us remind you that even the rain did not manage to discourage the numerous visitors, some of whom came from Belgium and the Netherlands, on the occasion of the last airshow organized by Cambrai-Epinoy in 2003. On that very day, the Tiger Meet, exclusively devoted to the fighter squadrons with the tiger as emblem, was also offered to the audience. The attendance of that day will go down in history : 35.000 visitors.

The air meetings are organized each year by five air bases in turn and allow raising funds in aid of the Air Company Benefit Scheme Foundation, that is to say the FOSA (Fondation des Oeuvres Sociales de l'Air). Thus the cost of the ticket to attend the meeting on July the 2nd will be given in full to the foundation.
